Album Covers 2

After coming up with my ideas for an album cover, I was looking at other student's work on their album covers and their different styles of creating them. I looked at ones that were made in different ways and had been put through different editing methods to create the final product.
So firstly, there is the 'Foxgloves' album cover by some of last year's students, the front cover features three girls, they have been cut from an original photo and put onto a pink background (this could have been done with a green screen for simplicity as opposed to just cutting from any photo). The girls also all have animal ears on their heads, which are added as a feature through editing. The ears image would have had a transparent background -which can (like the titling) be achieved through photoshop- and has been moved to fit on each girls' head.
On the cover for 'The Canarvon', the only editing that has been done is for the titling that was added to the original image, the backdrop was a selected wall that was used for a continuous .
The cover for 'Established' has been edited quite differently. The main background is a generally unedited photo that covers the full page, it doesn't have anything cut out or any green screen work involved (it seems to have colour correction). The album title is added into the image after and then it is finished.
Doing some work with the original idea, I have started to come up with an entire CD case design as well as an idea for the design of the CD itself. As well as this, I have begun to design a booklet for the insert of the CD. This features the artist and publisher, as well as information on the record label and studio and a few lines "from the artist".

To make the booklet I am using Microsoft Publisher. Producing the booklet itself required me to take some photographs as well as making props for them, such as the pictured icons that I taped to the wall behind me for one of the shots.
