Storyboard

As part of the planning stage for my music video, I have produced a storyboard,, this will help me with shooting to a set out plan, making production easier and faster.

We have been given a list of things that appear regularly in other student's videos and been told to look out for them:
  • Overlong takes
  • Poor synching
  • Editing doesn't match rhythm
  • Repetitive structure
  • 'Relationship on a sofa'
  • Car window shots for the entire thing
Whilst trying my hardest to avoid any of these tropes, I drew up my storyboard. The song itself ("Where is My Mind?" by Telepathic Teddy bear) is 3:54 long*. so the storyboard was longer than a majority of others as the song is slightly longer than other songs typically are.

Here are the photos of each side of my finished storyboard, from start to finish, followed by a video featuring a camera moving along my storyboard with the song I'm using playing in the background. I
did this to make sure that the timings I have planned out on my paper fit with the song for each shot I intend to create.

The following is a video of my storyboard set to the song I'm intending to use:
